Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Much better (and less expensive) than the store-bought ones. This recipe allows you to control the amount of chocolate you use and choose the toppings that you want to put!

Bunny adapted this method from her original plan around chocolate-covered pretzels. Works well for both!

  • 2 people
  • 15 minutes
  • 10 minutes (fridge)

Ingredients

  • 1 box of strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of pistachios (chopped)
  • Half block of milk chocolate

Directions

  1. Chop up chocolate into chunks (not thin sheets) with the large, duller chefs knife. Place immediately in bowl on top of a small pot of warm water (on low). Stir chocolate with one side of spatula only, not both.
  2. Chop up toppings (pistachio) with same knife and cutting board.
  3. Cut off stem of strawberries, and cut them in half. Dry the strawberries with a paper towel.
  4. SETUP: Parchment-paper-lined tray, then dish of strawberries, and then boiling pot of water.
  5. Dip bottom 3/4 of strawberry in chocolate carefully, then place on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Immediately sprinkle toppings (chopped pistachio, coconut shreds)
